<p>This is one of the first major Halloween decorations I ever created. It was simple, but in the dark it proved very effective. I used an air compressor to squeeze air through a 1/16 size hole into an open-topped bucket of mineral oil. This not only created a cauldron-like bubbling sound effect, but it also generated the thick smoke. I placed green spot lights at the bottom of the barrel to add color. The witch is just a simple costume on a hanger.</p>
<p>The skull was hung by some fishing line and tied to the door so that it would come in and out of the cauldron as the door is opened and closed. Not bad for my first Halloween prop.</p>
